The views were great, and it’s close to the ferry and other attractions. The staff were nice, and overall it was a good place to live. Road construction meant the water and electricity were shut off for 8+ hours at a time, which was annoying. I also wish I’d had my own washer and dryer, since people on the same floor might leave dirt or other things in the shared machines.

The area is lovely, with fine restaurants and the wonderful Commodore Theater within easy walking distance. The ferry is right there for a trip to Norfolk, which has many wonderful venues too. My husband and I have really enjoyed living at Harbor Tower, though I’ll be moving out at the end of April and will miss everyone. I’ve read some reviews, but I’ve never had a problem with management or maintenance. I work in this industry myself and understand what managing an apartment community involves. Every concern, big or small, has been handled right away. The staff are friendly and always available to help. I highly recommend the community. For anyone who’s had a bad experience, maybe you get back what you give out.

The staff are amazing, and I loved my spacious one-bedroom apartment. I never had to be home for important deliveries because the concierge would have packages ready for pickup. It’s pet-friendly, with a nice gym and a sauna in the locker room. I could also print things downstairs in the business room. I lived on the 16th floor, and the fire alarms went off while I was there. If an elderly resident can’t get downstairs on their own, someone is sent to help. I had a few unfortunate experiences, but they were about the area, not the apartments.

The apartments, views, and staff are great, but the City’s construction project next door has made working from home a nightmare. For the past two months, the noise has kept me from talking with clients and supervisors by phone. After five years here, it’s disappointing that I might have to leave and keep paying for an apartment I can’t use until another tenant rents it. Apparently, the project is expected to last a year.

The views are amazing, and all the staff are friendly. Pool, sauna, and gym access are included, and well worth it. I absolutely love living here. Hands down, it’s the best place to live in Portsmouth!
