Best Western Prescottonian

For an overnight stop for an event, this place worked fine. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable enough, and the older property was tidy and well maintained. From outside it looks more like a two-star motel, but inside was better than I expected. The free breakfast let us down. The coffee, eggs, and sausage weren’t great, so cereal was probably the safest bet. It’s a decent, convenient place for a night while passing through town.

Nice place in a good location, with a good view and a huge parking area. The rooms were only okay, though. The shower had only hot water, and while I was trying to adjust it for a bath, it literally burned my back.

I arrived at 11:30 a.m. hoping to check in after my plane landed at 10:45, and the two women at the desk were aggressive and nasty about it. The older one became vitriolic and treated me like I was stupid. She said I had to wait until after 3 p.m.; the younger woman said I could pay $50 to get in at noon. That was confusing. Around 1:30, the desk called to say I could check in at 2 without an extra charge. I got there at 2:15 and found an extremely filthy room. It smelled like stale cigarettes, had mold in the shower, human hair on the sheets and in the sink, trash in the wastebasket, and only one full-size towel. I just left with my things and contacted booking.com for a refund. I don’t know if they put me in the wrong room or if this is typical, but no thanks. I checked into the Hassayampa Inn without any issues or extra charges and got a very clean room. This hotel is pathetic and poorly managed and maintained.

The location was convenient, just a four-minute drive from downtown. The property was great for our two-day trip, and the front desk worker was very helpful when I checked in.
