We’ve stayed at Pine View twice over the past few summers, and I’m calling now to book our usual weekend again. It’s peaceful, quiet, and unpretentious, with friendly staff. The rooms are small, but that doesn’t matter much when we’re out hiking or visiting the nearby lakes. Town is a short drive away, as are the recreational lakes and trails. Safeway is an easy walk, and its friendly little Starbucks and groceries make it handy for breakfast or whatever you need. Maybe we’re easy to please, but a little kindness from the front desk goes a long way. We appreciate this modest place and think it’s A-okay.

I stayed for over a month because other places were full, and I’d paid in advance, which they wouldn’t refund. The rooms are extremely small and unclean, and the coolers blow warm air, making them uncomfortably hot. There are no phones, the TVs are prehistoric, and the only sink is in the bathroom. The microwaves and refrigerators barely work. Nobody is ever in the office, and although they say they’ll fix broken things, they never show up. There’s no housekeeping, so you’re expected to clean the room and wash your own linens. This place is a joke, and the owners are slum lords. I don’t believe the positive reviews are legitimate. Motel6 is a giant step up.

The king bed was comfortable and the room was clean. But people upstairs talked most of the night and kept walking around, making it very hard to sleep. There’s no night manager to turn to. I got the impression they might be residents renting by the week.

We found the location very quiet, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and personable. The warm rooms were comfortable, and there were lovely views in the morning. Safeway’s parking lot is right next door, with a Starbucks there too. It’s close to downtown winter activities, and the accommodations were great. It felt like a home away from home.

Management is fantastic and will work with you if something comes up. Everyone was laid-back and respectful, and my stay has been a 10 out of 10, despite not knowing what to make of older reviews. The rooms have been recently redone, and they’re nice. It’s close to downtown, with good parking, cable, and WiFi. Prices are good, and the place is calm, quiet, and cozy. Finding somewhere to stay around here can be tough, so this location is an excellent choice.
