Budget Inn

After we’d waited about 20 minutes for the room to be cleaned, they accused my family and me of being dirty, even though we hadn’t been inside the room. We’d paid $118, but got only $100 back. They then asked for another $40 for us to sleep there. We agreed, and they still kicked us out. They said we’d made a mess without ever going into the room.

I’ve stayed here a lot, but lately it’s been $375 plus a $50 deposit for a week. The tub was full of water with cleaner still in it, the sheets looked slept in, and I found a drug pipe at the bottom of the trash can. The TV wouldn’t work, and the manager didn’t want to give us clean towels. There’s no coffee maker in the rooms, and the ice machine was broken. Very dissatisfied.

The rooms are okay, but getting any rest is hard. The Wi-Fi keeps cutting out, and people are constantly knocking, whether it’s a neighbor asking for something or housekeeping wanting you to do her job. At first we dealt with the owners’ son, who, in my opinion, has better manners and a more professional manner than his parents.

The location worked really well, close to restaurants and stores, but far enough back from the highway that we couldn’t hear traffic. We arrived late with our baby and needed a room for the three of us. The desk guy was helpful and found us a first-floor room, so we didn’t have to haul everything upstairs. It was clean, no bugs, and plenty of hot water. We’ll stay again.
