Stratton Inn

PLEASE listen to the one-star reviews. This place was $375 a week, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. The curtain was broken, there were baby roaches in the toilet and roaches on the floor, the beds were uncomfortable, and there was a hole at the bottom of the door. I can't say anything about the service because I had none. My uncle said he saw bed bugs when he came to help them before. Go to American Inn instead. I said I'd update this if we got our money back, and we did.

The room was clean and reasonably priced, and management were courteous, friendly, and nice. The location was okay and easy to get to. I had a good experience and would stay again if I was in the area.

I left around midnight and won't stay here again. The non-smoking room smelled strongly of smoke, so I left the door open for a while and lit a candle. When I turned down the bed, the pillows were old and badly yellowed. Then I felt something biting me. I pulled back the sheet and saw bugs, which I was pretty sure were bed bugs. I grabbed my light suitcase and got out. Police were making rounds and asked if I was okay. The officer said it wasn't a very safe or clean place. I told him I was leaving and would get back on the interstate.

The man working there was really kind, coffee was ready as early as 6 on both days, and the price was very reasonable. As for the room, it smelled strange, the beds were hard as a rock and extremely uncomfortable to me, maybe because I have memory foam at home, and I saw a couple of bugs that looked like cockroaches. It's a roof over your head, but the smell and stiff bed are mainly why I gave it two stars.
