Michie House in College Hill - Hostel

The location is hard to beat if you like a lively feel, with eateries, small shops, and coffee places nearby. The place was stylish, clean, and quiet, and Stefano and the Mitchie House team were accommodating. I also appreciated getting my damage deposit back within a day of checking out.

Stefano helped me with the booking and day-to-day arrangements, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean, and there's a shared kitchen where you can keep food and drinks. It's well located for students and visitors heading to Brown or RISD. For questions, just text or call them directly.

The rooms looked unclean, and one they tried to give me smelled of armpits and cigarettes. The mattress slats were dangerously broken, and the beds looked like they'd been salvaged from a landfill years ago. The floors aren't level, and the walls are paper thin. Don't be fooled by the pictures, the place is worse than it looks. The only good part is that you can leave and stay somewhere else. Actually, do that. Don't stay here.

Stefano was a great help, and I'd definitely stay here again. The hotel is conveniently close to downtown, with great views and restaurants about 5-10 minutes away.
