We sent a photo of our ID and paid the $150 security deposit after being told shortly before arrival that this was required to get the access code. We had no other lodging option, so we went along with it. Since the stay, we’ve been waiting for the deposit back. When we asked, we were told our bank had rejected the refund. We also offered Visa, PayPal, and a bank account as alternatives, but after 14 days we still hadn’t received anything. It seems unlikely that three banks would all suddenly be unable to accept the money.

I booked for a popular weekend, then 18 days later they said they’d made an error and had no rooms available for that date after all. My reservation was canceled. They need to keep better track of their availability.
