The location is great, and the cleaning staff is wonderful. Michael is great, and his mom makes a nice breakfast. Chris is a good person, too. But you can never get anyone on the phone, ever. When we had trouble with the door and couldn't get it open, we couldn't get help. The owners seem disinterested. We won't go back. Location matters, but service matters most, and the owners are why I gave service one star.

Room 119 suited us perfectly, with a terrace and chairs overlooking Commercial Street. The windows also looked out toward the pier and the Pilgrim Monument. The bed and bathroom were excellent, and there was a small fridge and little faucet in the room. The continental breakfast was basic but fresh. We’d definitely stay here again.

We had a top-floor room for our 27th anniversary in October 2024, and the deck view was stunning. Sitting out there in the comfortable chairs was a real treat. The bed was so comfortable that I slept well, which hardly ever happens for me in hotels. Breakfast was just right for me, a yogurt and muffin, and there were lots of restaurants right outside the front door. The staff were great. We’ll definitely be back.

That porch and the resident dog May are my favorite parts. The staff are friendly, the breakfasts are delicious, and the rooms are nice. This place is perfect. 10/10, I'm not staying anywhere else.

The location is great, but the room could use some updating. A few things need fixing, like the lights and bathroom faucet, and there should be hooks for hanging towels.
