If you get an ocean-facing room, the water views are lovely, and the place is right by the water. It has an older, classic resort atmosphere that some may find charming, though parts of the property are showing their age. It’s a decent choice if you want to be near the beach and within walking distance of town, as long as you aren’t expecting a super modern stay.

I’d come back, especially in the off season or midweek. During peak summer weekends it’s more of a party hotel. The big pool and lots of free parking are a plus, and it sits right at the start of Commercial St. It’s one of the biggest hotels in ptown, and also very historic. My room had a king bed, a full-sized shower, and a walk-out deck with a water view. The smaller bathrooms people mention are real, though, and there’s no elevator or ramp to reach the room I had. That was fine for me, but keep it in mind, or book one of the rooms around the outside circle of the inn, which are on one floor.

Destiny was so helpful and friendly, and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and make sure I had everything I needed. I had a great stay at the Provincetown Inn. The room was clean, and the beautiful location is right on the water. I hope to come back soon.

The room itself was dingy, with poorly done LVP flooring and an interior paint job that looked like a typical “landlord special” renovation. There was a hole and crack in the exterior window, and the door to the tent area had a poor seal: daylight showed around it, and we could hear everything outside. A generator was also there, presumably going to run through the evening. The tent blocked the harbor view we had paid extra for, and a wedding reception was taking place right outside our room. We’d booked about two weeks ahead for our anniversary, and had even noted the occasion. When I asked the front desk about another room because we hadn’t received the view we paid for, the receptionist was understanding and said they wouldn’t have assigned us that room. I asked whether any wedding guests might want to trade, since the other side of the facility seemed quieter, but they had no rooms available. They said we could find other accommodations or contact the GM in the morning about additional compensation. We weren’t going to have a quiet weekend getaway with all that going on. We checked out about 15 minutes after checking in and found a room at the Harbor Hotel for $100 less. Wildly disappointed with the Provincetown inn. I’ll never stay there again and will forever deter anyone from staying there. Congrats to the newlyweds, though.

The view is spectacular, the room was very clean despite its decrepitude, the restaurant food was good, and the service was mostly very good. Still, for the money, this was the shabbiest hotel, motel, or inn we’ve stayed in on all our travels. Maybe people are paying for the view and the large parking lot. We chose it because it was supposed to have accessible rooms, but first got a room up one staircase and down another. After we negotiated, they gave us one across a bed of oyster shells and up a tarred incline, with no ramp. The bathroom was extremely small and had no ramps, and the toilet was suitable for children.
