White Porch Inn

We’d nearly turned around and headed back to Boston after finding out our house had no electricity last week. A friend told us White Porch Inn had power because of its generator, so I called. General Manager Marybeth Bongiovanni was warm and friendly and told us to come on by. The day had started as a complete bummer, but turned into a lovely evening by the cozy fireplace. The Inn was clean, with really interesting art and decor. Our room wasn’t large, but it had everything we needed, including a fireplace. We had no idea what a wonderful experience we were in for.

I rarely write reviews, but this one-night stay was so memorable that I wanted others to know what a gem this chic guesthouse is. Mary Beth and Hanna were a terrific duo, both friendly and capable, and the guest house was charming, with modern touches and eye-catching art everywhere. Some of the art was even for sale. The cleanliness and location were both 10 stars. Before we arrived, we got a welcoming text, something I’d never experienced in Ptown, and it made us want to check in right away. The attention to detail was incredible.

Mary Beth & Hana were just the best. During a major blizzard, they welcomed us on very short notice and made us feel completely at home. Sometimes the world can feel cold, faceless, and impersonal, and then kindness like theirs gives you a boost and restores your faith in gracious, community-minded people. Stay at the White Porch Inn and be restored!

We booked White Porch Inn at the last minute for Valentines Day weekend. The Inn was beautiful, but the service is what earned the five stars. Mary Beth has great energy and was so helpful. We’ll be back!
