Days Inn Pueblo

A few minutes after check-in, my husband's truck was surrounded by homeless people, who seemed to appear from everywhere like ants. We were sure there wouldn't be any parts left on it by morning, so we left immediately. The assistant manager refused to refund us, even though we hadn't touched anything in the room. We'd checked in two hours earlier with another employee, but left because the room wasn't ready, then came back two hours later. No refunds at all. Save yourself the nightmare and the risk to your vehicle, and stay far away from this hotel!

Getting there was easy, and the staff were super friendly. The pool and hot tub were well maintained, the coffee was good, and breakfast was simple: cereal, fruit cups, and packaged mini muffins. But there was weed and cigarette smoke on both the first and second floors. We had to switch rooms because the cigarette smell was so strong our kid couldn't breathe, and the room door wouldn't close unless locked. We aired out the new room by opening the window. The roof had lots of mold and deterioration.

The people working at Days Inn were all good, hardworking folks, and I'd like to thank them. My room was clean, and whenever I needed anything, the cleaning staff took care of it. I had a great stay and look forward to coming back.

A relative stayed here for a few months while looking for a place in town, and I'd visit her there. Staff would apparently go into her room without permission. When she checked out, her deposit wasn't there, and they claimed it had already been returned. It turned out one worker had forged her name and taken the money. I've heard this wasn't the first time that same staff member had done it, and she still works there. How many other customers has she lied to or taken deposits from? Packages were supposed to be delivered there too. One was later found hidden in a back room, but the second was never recovered, even though photos showed the packages had been delivered. Nobody seemed to know where it went. They know who's doing this and still let her work there. Be careful about renting here if you don't want your things stolen. If you left your room as it was when you arrived and didn't get your deposit back, the hotel has to refund you. Looking through these reviews, I suspect the same woman may be lying to other customers to keep their money. I'd file a complaint with corporate to try to get it back.
