Sunseeker Resort Florida Gulf Coast, Curio Collection Hilton

We came from Orlando for our anniversary, and the hotel’s beauty, views, and spacious places to relax made it such a special time. The pools are gorgeous and roomy, and there are lots of food choices, including a food hall with great vibes alongside the restaurants. We had a delicious breakfast at Half cracked tiki shack, where Darcy was so sweet. Dakota at the front desk was kind and helpful as well. Thanks to everyone for making the occasion amazing.

I’m on the first day of a three-night stay at Sunseeker Resort Florida Gulf Coast in Port Charlotte, FL, and this has been very disappointing. I arrived around 3:30 PM. After spraying the bed with Lysol, I noticed stains on the sheets that looked dirty, and there was hair all over the pillows. I called the front desk at 3:50 PM to ask for fresh linens and for someone to remake the bed. No one had responded by 4:30 PM, so at 4:45 I went to the desk myself. A maintenance employee soon brought clean sheets, left them on the table, and walked out without making the bed. At 5:00 PM, I went back to ask that the bed be made properly. I told staff I’d be leaving and expected it to be taken care of by the time I returned. But when I got back around 6:15, the clean sheets were still untouched on the table. I waited in line to speak with someone. When my turn came, receptionist Amanda called another guest and her husband, who had arrived after me, ahead of me. I politely pointed that out, but she rolled her eyes, made a dismissive face, and told me I’d have to wait. Another guest saw the exchange and confirmed I’d been next. I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism and customer service. Thankfully, another front desk associate listened to me and said someone would come fix the issue. Around 6:45 PM, Dave from Public Areas arrived and made the bed. He was pleasant, professional, and understood why I was frustrated. I sincerely appreciate his help. Still, a basic housekeeping request shouldn’t take over three hours and several trips to the front desk. I expected much better cleanliness and guest service from a resort of this caliber. I have two nights left and hope the rest of the stay is much better than this first day.

Emily at reception was incredibly kind and helpful, and Steve Ballard, John Corcoran, and Cindy Schmidt on the suites side gave some of the friendliest, kindest service I’ve had. They went above and beyond. The resort itself is beautiful, clean, modern, and luxurious, and all the staff were amazing. I can’t recommend a trip here enough. You won’t regret it!

We had a wonderful stay for the Valentine’s Day events. The rooms and restaurants were lovely, and the sunset views were beautiful. There are two pools: the rooftop one is adults-only, with fun live music, while the huge resort pool has room for all ages and both sunny and shady spots. We’re locals, but it still felt like a tropical vacation. Expect to spend money and wait for service. We didn’t mind paying for such a nice experience, but were surprised how long simple orders took.
