Hampton Inn & Suites Tacoma/Puyallup

The hallways smelled fresh and were clean, and our room was spacious and very clean too. We missed breakfast, but the 12pm checkout was really nice. Niyah made a very late check-in feel easy: she was welcoming, upbeat, smiling, and chatted with us. I did worry that she had no security guard there, just in case, but she stayed positive. Her reception alone would bring us back. The convenience store across the street was easy to get to, and the gentleman working there was helpful and nice. We found lower rates through a third party website than by calling directly or using the AAA discount. The hotel is much bigger than it looks, with a pool and workout room we didn't try, so I can't rate those. It is handy for the area, though I wouldn't want to spend much time walking around at night, so I gave convenience 3 stars. My only suggestion is to put a wine and bottle opener in the rooms. We'd stay again if we needed to be in that area.

The hotel was very clean, easy to reach from sr512, and a nice place to stay. My bed was extremely comfortable, and the room had a big TV and a clean bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Breakfast was included, with fruit, cereals, waffles, delicious egg bites, sausage, plenty of drinks, and hot coffee. My only complaint is that the shower water never got very hot, even with the dial turned all the way up.

The staff at this location were super friendly and helpful. I always seem to forget something, and she had whatever we needed. We got a free upgrade to a bigger room, which we absolutely loved, and the pool and spa were very clean. Glad we stayed, though I'd say it's not much different from the Holiday Inns.

Brianna, the manager, was out of this world. I was staying at another Hampton Inn, but she still helped me with what I needed, professionally and with real compassion. She even took time to chat with me personally, which felt like the Hilton touch. Her associate Gabi was friendly and upbeat too. We're only two days away from earning diamond, and interactions like that will keep us coming back. Please make sure these ladies get recognition, compensation, and a raise that matches their professionalism!
