The room is really clean, with a huge fridge and a nice bathroom and tub. Aleeya at the front desk was friendly and knew her stuff, so ask her if you need anything. I just checked in and already love the place. Looking forward to a refreshing stay. I'd absolutely recommend it if you need somewhere to stay in the area for a few days.

The peaceful nights gave me a good chance to rest after work, and I didn't run into any problems during my stay. I grew up just up the road and remember when HomeTowne Studios Tacoma - Puyallup was built almost 30 years ago, so this was my first time actually staying here. I'm glad I did. I've traveled across the country for 35 years, in everything from one-star to five-star hotels. In the past 18 months I've spent well over 85% of my time traveling and staying in hotels and motels up and down the West Coast. My 20-plus days here were among the most enjoyable stays I've had. It had a nice mix of comfort, warmth, and hospitality. The housekeeping team kept my room immaculate and were friendly every day. The maintenance staff were attentive and quick to respond, though luckily I never needed help. At the front desk, the women were always smiling and went out of their way to make my stay pleasant. Check-in was easy, too. I'd recommend HomeTowne Studios Tacoma - Puyallup to anyone looking for a good place to stay. The staff were friendly, and the front desk woman came to help me with the heater. I can't remember her name. But the room was noisy all night, with paper-thin walls, and the area around the hotel wasn't very clean. The deposit was charged to my account as if I'd damaged the room, though I'm supposedly getting it credited back. In other hotels I've rented for a night, the bank just holds the deposit and it drops off after checkout. This place charged it outright. I will NEVER stay at this establishment again.

There was no bathtub, just a shower, and the room that was supposed to be non-smoking smelled of cigarette smoke. Someone was smoking in a room below or beside mine. I had the flu when I arrived and left with a chest infection. All my belongings from the room smell like smoke now, too. I had to leave early, but they won't respond to Booking.com so the situation can be resolved. I would NOT recommend this place.
