Hampton Inn Louisville-Airport

I had a problem during my stay, but the staff followed up and got it resolved quickly. I appreciated how responsive they were and their commitment to customer service. I’d recommend this location if you’re flying from the airport.

The breakfast was dry, flavorless, and seemed straight out of a box. I wouldn’t recommend this property. My room wasn’t up to standard either. The shower shelf was coming loose and someone had glued it back, but there was glue everywhere and it still wasn’t secured properly. It looked disgusting. One duvet was stained, so I used just one of the two beds. The microwave hadn’t been cleaned and still smelled like the previous guest’s popcorn. The TV had limited viewing options and no Netflix.

The location made getting to downtown and the airport easy, and the room looked recently updated. It was clean and comfortable, too. My one letdown was breakfast: the eggs, potatoes, and sausage patties were cold, so the hot food wasn't hot.

There weren't many restaurants close by, so we wound up eating at the Crowne Plaza hotel's restaurant. I also missed being able to watch my Netflix account, which Home2 Suites and Embassy Suites offer. I used Hilton points for this stay, about the same amount as Home2 Suites, but I wouldn't return because of the noise and lack of nearby dining. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained, with a pleasant breakfast area near the main entrance. Each morning there was free breakfast, including scrambled eggs, waffles you could make yourself, cereal, toast, and other choices. But being near the airport meant I heard planes for much of the night. I'm a light sleeper, and even my white noise machine didn't block them out.
