Our room was nice and quiet. We didn’t hear doors slamming or people talking outside, and the parking was easy. The hotel itself is beautiful, and there were complimentary water bottles in the room. We noticed their lids had already been unscrewed, though, and I’m not sure why. One bed also had wet sheets, which was strange. There was no mini fridge, and the bar service was very slow. The view wasn’t good, but we’d stay again. We’d probably eat somewhere else.

The parking garage was the worst I’ve ever seen. Inside, though, this is a beautiful historic hotel. The entrance, artwork, staircase, and bookcase behind the front desk are gorgeous. The elevators are extremely small and look like they may date back to when the building was built. I was only in the Grand Ballroom on the 10th floor, and it was very nice.

Make time for the free one-hour tour. It’s well worth it, and learning the hotel’s history during your stay is great. This is a must-stay historic hotel for a convenient downtown Louisville visit. The parking building is behind the hotel, though it can be a little tricky to find. The rooms aren’t bad considering the hotel’s historic value.

The location made it easy to walk to the Mercury Ballroom and 4th Street Live, and you can park in the garage or self-park in the lot next door. The hotel itself has so much history to explore. There are artifacts throughout, and the architecture is extraordinary. When there’s no event, the Rathskeller downstairs is left open, giving you a chance to step back in time. We were happy with the spacious room and comfortable beds, and the bathroom had a classy feel and a nice hot shower. From the moment I walked into the lobby, the place felt like home. Will was at the front desk and checked me in with a kind greeting. He was great with customer service, gave me helpful information, and suggested several nearby dinner options when I asked. Staying at The Seelbach Hotel was a wonderful experience. Next time you’re in Louisville, make yourself at home here for a memorable stay.

The room was fine, with an updated bathroom and plenty of the hotel’s historic charm. There’s no refrigerator. The building is beautiful, with a bar and restaurant, and there’s lots of history and character throughout. It’s in a prime spot near 4th Street, with a parking garage right next door. Parking costs extra, and valet is also available.
