Hampton Inn Quakertown

The Wednesday evening pizza and beer or soda were a nice surprise after a long, difficult drive. Breakfast was complimentary and great, too. The staff were excellent, and the updated rooms were very clean and dog friendly. There’s also a really nice pool, hot tub, and workout room.

I’ve stayed here twice before and didn’t inspect as closely as I did on this third visit. This time I found food, a pill, and bedbugs under the mattress. I showed videos to the front desk and was moved next door, where I checked again and found one on the back of the mattress headboard. I’ve dealt with bedbugs before, so I know what I’m looking at, even though the man at the desk tried to gaslight me and deny it. They moved me to another floor after that. That room seemed okay, but my phobia made it hard to rest. I think the whole place needs to be shut down and treated with heat or fumigation. The walls and floors are carpeted, which doesn’t seem ideal for bedbugs. Having to move three times was ridiculous, and I feel they should have comped my room. The staff also made me feel as if it wasn’t a big deal. I told the woman working in the morning the same thing, and she seemed more concerned. I was visiting because my boyfriend was staying there for work with his company, and I’m freaking out that he’s still there. They make a lot of money from bookings and should invest in better extermination. From the reviews, it seems like this has happened before. If you stay, check everything carefully because the bugs are tiny.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast and coffee were adequate, and the shower pressure was amazing lol. The spa was out of service, though, and the gym was too hot and humid to use. The room walls are pretty thin, so bring a noise machine.

The staff here at the Quakertown Hampton inn really helped take the stress out of traveling, from arrival through heading on to the next stop. At check-in, we had a small issue with our room, but they listened and quickly found us another one. It was clean, updated, and well air-conditioned, and the hotel is in a great spot right off the turnpike.
