We’d stayed here for years, but after this trip I wouldn’t recommend it. We came with two adults and two young kids on Dec 28, checking out Jan 1, 2026. A month ahead and again a few days before arrival, we called to ask for connecting rooms and were assured they’d been assigned. At check-in, it took at least half an hour to sort things out, and they had put us on separate floors despite the notes about the kids. The front desk woman was polite and tried to work with what was available. We ended up with connecting rooms, a rollaway, and extra furniture that had to be shifted just to make space to walk. The benches were removed the next day when we asked. Micah at the front desk made a real effort to help the following morning, and I appreciated it. He seemed constrained by management, though. I overheard the DOS speak rudely to him when he explained our problem, saying we could check out, get our points back, and go elsewhere. She sounded like she didn’t want to be bothered and told him to call maintenance. Later, she called us after apparently realizing how often we travel and use IHG, including our years of stays at this hotel. Her apology and offer of a tiny number of points felt scripted, as if meant to stop us complaining. Family members we’d recommended the hotel to had similar problems with their rooms’ condition and comfort. In room 130, the shower wall was cracked and pulling away, the shower rod was coming out, and paint was falling from the bathroom ceiling. There was a cigarette burn on the corner chair, the desk chair was dirty, paint peeled around the window, and the shades didn’t open and close properly. The TV had no channel guide, which made watching frustrating, while the TV in the connecting room did have one. In room 132, the door locked but didn’t latch, and it was loose when closed. The maintenance worker was nice and tried to fix it, but the repair didn’t look like qualified work. I work in construction, and this hotel clearly needs a major physical upgrade and remodel to meet the IHG standard. Compared with other IHG hotels we stayed at during the year, this visit was disappointing, inconvenient, and inconsistent with what we’re used to. The lobby was clean, and the front desk and breakfast staff were consistently polite, professional, and willing to help, but seemed limited in what they could do. When we visited the Springhill Suites next door across the parking lot to see other family, the difference in cleanliness and upkeep was obvious. In the coming years, we’ll stay elsewhere and suggest our family do the same.

It’s easy to get in and out, parking has never been a problem, and I’ve never had a safety issue. I’ve stayed many times, and the staff are genuinely nice and seem to try hard. But the hotel needs repairs, and the rooms feel grimy. Furniture is worn, appliances are grody, there are stains throughout, carpet is torn, and half the outlets don’t work. The bathroom makes me feel gross: some floor tiles are visibly dirty, the caulk is full of black mold, and the shower pressure is barely there. It’s tolerable for a night, but I’d bring house shoes, keep expectations low, and plan to shower at my destination. The free breakfast isn’t good, so I’d eat somewhere else. My scores: customer service 9/10, cleanliness 2/10, breakfast 2/10, parking 9/10.

The kids wanted an indoor pool, and with everything booked for Valentine’s Day this was our last option. The pool was good, but extremely slippery. The room was clean, though it really needs a remodel and update. At over $160, it wasn’t worth the price. They should do better for that much.

The atmosphere at this Holiday Inn Express was warm and friendly, and the place was so clean and welcoming that I could live there. My girlfriend and I slept incredibly well in the comfortable room, so well that we missed breakfast. The front desk staff were lovely, especially the amazingly kind Eszter. We can’t wait to return.

Check-in was quick and friendly, and the complimentary breakfast and coffee were perfectly fine, like at other Holiday Inn Expresses. Just a fine place to crash for one night, in a good location right off 476. The rooms were basically okay and seemed well cleaned, but they could use updates: the tub surround was coming loose in places and the carpet is old. Some renovations would help.
