Quality Inn Quincy - Tallahassee West

I had to leave right away. The room was absolutely disgusting and dirty. The mirror over the sink looked like it hadn't been cleaned, and the curtains had feces or something else on them. I shut the bathroom door and saw that whatever was behind it hadn't been cleaned either. I should've taken photos, sorry, but I had to get out.

For six weeks I've tried to reach management about my refund. I've called more than a dozen times without a return call, and only got through today by calling from a different phone. I was told I couldn't get the money back because it was a no-cancellation reservation, even though the hotel hadn't provided basic standards. Customer service is a joke, and I would never stay here. Our reservation was for 10/16-10/19. The room had no toilet paper or towels, and the AC didn't work, so we asked for another room. We got one, but the key card wouldn't work. My husband and I left and stayed across the street at another hotel owned by the same person. That hotel's manager was very nice and said she'd talk with the other manager. We weren't sure cancellation would be approved when we left, but it was approved the next day.

The night staff were helpful, and I was glad the room had floors, though mine clearly hadn't been mopped since my feet were black. The room itself was surprisingly good for a motel: quiet, with nice bedding, a good firm mattress, a big TV, and USB ports by the bed. The room coffee was kind of nasty, but you can get coffee in the office too. I don't know about breakfast, since the 9am cutoff is ridiculously early.

The rate is good, and the staff were helpful and accommodating. It's an okay choice for a quick overnight, especially if it's too late to find a reservation elsewhere. Check the bedding, though. It's not the Ritz, just okay.
