Kasa Village District Raleigh

The unit at Kasa Village District Raleigh was dirty, with stained flooring, and the toilet was leaking badly enough to leave water pooled around its base. There were streaks of water stains on the wall behind the tank, and the shut-off valve behind the toilet was heavily rusted and corroded. For the price, I expected better cleanliness and maintenance. The unit should’ve been inspected and repaired before check-in. I called the front desk and was told maintenance would come fix it, but no one showed up. I hope management addresses the plumbing and cleaning standards.

We stayed here while moving, and it was a big help. The location is very convenient for NCSU, and there’s a grocery store close by. Having dishes and cooking utensils as well as a microwave and refrigerator made things much easier.

I travel to North Carolina monthly and have stayed at Kasa condos several times. I had a four-night reservation, but my trip was canceled when the airlines canceled my flight because of a predicted ice storm due to hit Raleigh during my travel dates. I told Kasa I wouldn’t need the reservation. Since I let them know one day past the cancellation window, they said they wouldn’t refund my money. The storm was shutting down the city, and the canceled travel was out of my control, but they wouldn’t refund any part of my prepaid stay. I’ll find somewhere else for my Raleigh trips.

Just rent a hotel room instead. They’ll charge for early check-in, late checkout, a security deposit with an option to pay a small nonrefundable fee, and $10 a day for parking. There may be another charge I’m forgetting. I’ve never had a hotel ask me for $41 to check in early when the room was already ready. The room was dirty, with stains on the carpet and pullout couch, crumbs in the couch, and flies and mosquitoes bothering me the whole time. The bathroom is dated and needs work. Waiting for the elevator can take up to eight minutes. I can see why they have trouble filling these rooms with people willing to sign a lease.
