Rob was excellent as my dive master. I felt safe, and he pointed out some interesting marine life. My wife had a great time snorkeling, as she usually does, while I dove from the Looe Key boat with Captain Jack at the helm. We’ve gone out with Looe Key Resort Dive boat many times, and it’s always been a pleasant trip. It’s where we look to go when we want to get out to the reef.

We booked this place to get an early night before our boat tour to dry tortugas, and that was a big mistake. The room was in pretty rough shape, though we could have put up with that if the music hadn't been so loud. Our room is right beside a huge tiki bar with live music five nights a week, supposedly until 11:00. It sounds like the same people own the bar and hotel. Nobody told us about the noise before booking or at check-in. Having blaring music right next to a hotel where people are trying to sleep is brilliant. Awful.

After a long day of travel, the relaxed feel of the place was just what we needed to unwind. Everyone we talked to was genuinely friendly, and the whole property was clean. It was our first stay at Looe Key Reef Resort, and we really enjoyed it. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in the Keys.

The dive boat operation is awesome, with great Captains and guides who make the reef trip enjoyable whether you're snorkeling or diving. The staff is friendly, and the Tiki Bar is a fun local hangout with good drinks and food. It's a great spot with a laid-back atmosphere.

The rooms are clean, though a little outdated, and the staff is nice. We’ve stayed here before, and our only complaint this time is that our favorite bartender, Keith, was missing. He’s a great bartender and the reason we wanted to stay here, he makes the looe key resort feel complete. Hope Keith is back when we come next time.
