Hilton Garden Inn Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga

The mountain view from our higher-floor room was beautiful and made the stay more relaxing. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked well, and breakfast was good. The breakfast staff were warm both mornings, and it never felt crowded. I miss the old buffet with self-serve waffles, though; now it's mostly snacks, drinks, and premade items, so it feels like less fun and value. The location is handy, right by Ontario Airport and next to Ontario Mills, with BJ’s, Olive Garden, In N Out, and a Costco gas station nearby. It's surprising there's no airport shuttle. Housekeeping was the biggest letdown: we requested service during our two-night stay, but it never happened. Parking now costs extra this year. The lot is decent but fills quickly, especially the Diamond spaces, and even with security it didn't feel as safe as it could. The elevator sign about jumping was a little unsettling, but minor. Service was okay, neither bad nor amazing. At around a hundred something dollars a night, it's good value, and the hotel gets plenty right. Still, no housekeeping, paid parking, no shuttle, and no full buffet keep it at three stars for me.

I was in town for business and couldn't sit down for breakfast because I was short on time. The morning staff quickly put together a box for me to take along, which made my morning much easier. I really appreciated how kind and efficient they were. ❤️

Giovanni is the reason I'd come back to the Hilton garden inn Ontario. He made the whole stay a pleasure and earned a customer for life. The hotel itself is nice, but his service stood out: he helped solve all the usual hotel travel problems without ever seeming annoyed, and made me feel important and cared for. He even found me a first floor room every night on very short notice. He's one of the best I've encountered, professional and able to make anyone feel like a VIP.

The check-in texts and online process were handled well, and I'd told them exactly when my flight would get in. The room itself was disgusting: food, trash, and dog food were all over the carpet, and it hadn't been vacuumed or mopped. The toilet was dirty, so I cleaned it with hand sanitizer. I checked the whole bed; it looked like they'd changed the sheets and pillowcases and left the rest of the room. The cleaners are worthless and should be fired.
