Holiday Inn Express & Suites Rancho Mirage - Palm Spgs Area

I spent three nights here while taking a two-day course at Eisenhower Health, about a 4-5 minute drive away. Palm Springs is roughly 20-25 minutes away, depending on traffic and how many lights you hit. There are plenty of major restaurants and grocery stores nearby. My one-bedroom suite was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the nearby main road never seemed too loud. Every staff member I met was friendly and helpful, and breakfast was very good. The one frustration was my key card: several times it wouldn’t register, so I had to go downstairs and ask the front desk to reset it. I’m not sure what to make of the bad reviews, but I’d absolutely book here again if I’m in the area.

The staff were pleasant and more than helpful. That was the only good part of this place. I paid over $290 and literally couldn’t sleep there. The room’s air felt so bad I was awake all night. It reeked of strong cleaning products and gave me a headache, and the lowest AC setting was 68 degrees. The building looked badly maintained, so I didn’t want to find out what the breakfast kitchen was like. The place was dingy, smelly, and musty, with peeling paint, cheap finishes, a dirty air conditioner, janky chain blinds, broken furniture, hollow doors, and a crusty, slow elevator. I don’t know how it has a 4.4 rating. Maybe the reviews are fake, or people reviewing it aren’t aware of their surroundings. Their response was “thanks for the feedback.” How about a REFUND? Cheap, just like this scuzzy hotel.

We spent five nights here and had an excellent stay. The hotel was in very good condition, the breakfast was awesome, and the staff were great. The pool and hot tub were better than we expected. The location worked perfectly as a base for exploring the valley, even though it’s along 111 and doesn’t offer much of a view. Our only wish was for separate switches for the bathroom light and fan. Terrific value, and we highly recommend it. Great job to the owner, management, and staff.

Only stayed one night, but the staff were all very friendly and the included breakfast had good options. The pool and workout areas were very small and not as advertised.
