My Place Hotel-Randolph VT

Mercedes at the front desk provided excellent service, from my call the day before through the in-person check-in. She really cares about guests and goes above and beyond. She was partway through a double shift at check-in and was back at work the next morning, with the same welcoming, personable attitude both times. I also had the pleasure of meeting GM Santinna Young. She was engaging and welcoming, and clearly leads by example. A very pleasant stay, and I’ll definitely use this location again if I’m in the area.

The room was comfortable and quiet, with a full sized fridge and stove top. The place is new and clean, and there’s free coffee in the lobby in the morning. I travel to this area several times a year, and this will be my new go to hotel.

We had booked two nights at My Place Hotel in Randolph, VT, but were checked in for just one. I had to go back to the desk to get my key reactivated and remind them about the booking. The room wasn’t cleaned, and the service felt careless. The hotel itself is fairly new, about a year old, but the staff were unhelpful and unwelcoming. We felt uncomfortable because the respect and warmth shown to us seemed different from what other guests received. I also spotted small red bugs in the corridor, which is unacceptable in a new property. It was a disappointing stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it to travelers expecting fair treatment and basic hospitality.

Everything else was great, and I’d stay again. The linens and towels smelled clean, parking was easy, and there’s a cute gas station up the road called “The Barn.” It’s convenient for popular snowboarding places about an hr away, specifically Mt stowe and cochran, and it wasn’t overcrowded. They also have complimentary coffee 24/7. I would’ve given 5 stars if breakfast were offered.
