Canyon Lake Resort

We found the place very reasonably priced, with friendly staff, clean rooms, and a handy kitchenette for making food. It's a beautiful spot on the lake and works well for visiting the Rapid City area. Two small frustrations: the coffee supplied for the machine was wrong, so the machine basically just made hot water and we went to a local shop every morning. Also, the bathroom towel hooks are so high that kids and shorter adults can't reach them.

The staff were easy to find and always helpful, and the grounds were in excellent condition. The natural scenery around the property was charming and lovely to experience. My studio was spotless, well organized, and had great amenities. It's a beautiful location, and I'll definitely think of it as my go-to place when I'm in Rapid City.

I stayed in a really nice, modern cabin at Canyon Lake Resort. The views over Canyon Lake are awesome, and the property has fire pits and a pool. It's close to Rapid City, Chapel of the Hills, and the rest of the black hills. A great place to stay when you're in the area, definitely a must.

Canyon Lake Reunion Lodge worked perfectly for our family reunion. We had 35 people ranging in age from 1 to 78, and there was enough room for everyone to cook, relax, mingle, and spend time together without feeling crowded. The toddlers could play while the grandparents visited. It was everything we needed for a fun, comfortable weekend, and we had the best time. Thanks to the hosts for giving our family such a wonderful place to reconnect. I'd highly recommend it for a big gathering.
