The breakfast is worth a lot on its own, with pancakes, waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs, pretty much the whole spread. The staff were genuinely helpful and friendly, and I have zero complaints. This place has won me over. It's the only hotel I'll stay at in Rapid City, and that doesn't happen easily.

Being able to walk to downtown Rapid and a nice park was a real plus. This is a clean, affordable budget hotel, and my room was fully stocked when I arrived. There are drink machines on every floor, a lobby shop open 24/7 for snacks and drinks, and free breakfast each morning. The gym is small, with some cardio gear, a universal cable machine and a bench, which will probably be enough for most people. I didn't try the pool, though I know it was there. If you want more equipment, nearby gyms include Weight Room and Modern. I appreciated that there aren't stores or bars right next to the hotel. I lived in Rapid City for two years, and homelessness is a serious issue there. Other hotels in the area mention people lurking around and cars being broken into, so not having that nearby felt good. Staff were friendly and competent, too. A great place to stay.

For a night on my way to the black hills mountains, this worked out really well. The price was great, the staff were lovely, and the hotel was nice with plenty of parking. It's close to downtown, too. Nothing to complain about, and I'd recommend it.

The pool was the standout for me: it's large, heated, and well maintained. Parking is free, and our two-queen room was pretty clean. Breakfast was average for an American hotel. Elevation Inn Rapid City is the kind of standard 2-3 star hotel we've stayed in around the US, so I have to admit the reviews had made me expect more.
