Rodeway Inn Rapid City

The bed was so comfortable that I got a wonderful night’s sleep, which is unusual for me away from my own bed. We had a great stay. The hotel was clean, the rooms were very nice, and recent updates were easy to see. They’re under new management, and the managers were attentive and helpful. We were traveling with our mini dachshund and appreciated that the hotel is dog-friendly, with a pet fee much lower than at other motels. There’s a pool that could be great for families, but we didn’t use it, so I can’t comment on that. Walmart and several good restaurants are within walking distance, and it’s easy to reach from the interstate. The room rate was a great value for what you get. We’ll definitely stay again when we’re in the Rapid City or Black Hills area.

Barbara and Walter were wonderful, kind people who went above and beyond. We arrived late in the evening and found that our remote wasn’t working properly. Barbara brought new batteries, then came to the room herself to sort it out when that didn’t help. The room stayed comfortable despite the freezing weather outside. Whenever we passed Walter or Barbara near the lobby, they checked that we were enjoying our stay and asked if we needed anything. They were extremely sweet. The usual Wi-Fi, under the Rodeway name, didn’t have a matching password, so they let us use the Wi-Fi for a different area.

We came to Rapid City for my sister’s funeral, and it meant a lot to run into kind people. The new manager, Mody, I believe that was his name, was so pleasant. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and we slept well. It was quiet and private too. Thank you for the hospitality. Their rates were the lowest and best in town.

My wife and I stayed over Christmas week, and Moody was always around and ready to answer questions. He was an amazing host and the new owner. The TV was fancy, the cold water in the lobby was a nice touch, and the on-site laundry was very affordable. He even left us some chocolates.
