The Suite Inn

I love this place. The coffee and ice water are a nice touch, though I'd be glad to see continental breakfast offered. The beds are super comfortable, and every room I've stayed in had a Roku. There's also a wall mirror for checking your look before heading out. The new owner has really improved the place, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms feel modern, with lots of storage and convenient charging options. I liked the dimmable touch lamp by the bedside, with USB and USB-C ports. The microwaves that double as air fryers and the full-size fridge were a wild, welcome surprise. I'd rate it higher than five stars if I could.

The room downstairs was very dirty, and I didn't feel safe there. There was a huge gap under the door, so hallway noise carried in until 3 a.m. At least there were no bugs.

We finally found their sign lit up in the distance, rang the bell, and Ashley came to help. She was polite and made us feel welcome. Earlier, my family and I had rolled into Rapid around 1:30 a.m. with our van overheating. Everything was closed, including the auto-parts stores, and we'd had no luck finding a room, so we were starting to panic. The next day Ashley pointed us to an affordable mechanic nearby, and we were fixed up and back on the road quickly. Thanks for making us feel at home.

The price was good and the location worked for us, but I probably wouldn't return. Our second-floor room was clean, though you have to ask the front desk for a hairdryer. Guests had long conversations in the hallway at night, and the smoking-deck door let smoke drift down the corridor. Keeping the air conditioner on all night helped cover the noise and keep smoke out of our room.
