When the truck repair turned out to need parts that wouldn’t arrive until the next week, I booked a Greyhound home, the only way out of Rawlins, and will have to return when the work is finished. Shantell (AGM) and Kelly arranged for one of them to drive me to the bus station, which I really appreciated. I’d been stranded while driving cross-country for work after my truck broke down, and everyone here was kind and understanding. I checked out twice because I didn’t want to book another whole night if the truck might be ready. Both times they let me work on my laptop in the lobby for hours. I had to check back in once I learned the repair wasn’t done. The staff are very helpful, and there’s a good hot breakfast. With nowhere else to go, I used the well-kept fitness center. The snowstorm looked beautiful from my third-floor window, and I was glad I wasn’t driving in it. I’ll stay here next time I come through.

Breakfast was top notch. Hotels don’t often seem to put much effort into a buffet anymore, but you all got it right. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even brought us complimentary water since I’m pregnant and always thirsty. Such a sweet touch. My husband and I stopped for the night on our way to our new home in TX, and it was the best stay of our whole road trip. There are plenty of nearby shops for whatever you need and lots of places to eat for any craving. I’ll recommend it to friends and family!

Jess at the front desk was amazing and helped us with everything we needed, plus more. The pool and hot tub were great, and our room was spacious, comfortable, and very nice. My family of four had a great overnight stay at the Hampton Inn, and we’ll definitely come back.

I expected better security for the rates at the Hampton Inn Rawlins by Hilton. The side entrance uses a card key, but its locking mechanism is completely missing, so the door doesn’t lock and anyone can get into the hotel. That was my main safety concern and the reason for my two-star rating. There were a few good points, including clean, spacious rooms and coffee in the room. Still, those were outweighed by poor customer relations and weak water pressure. I went in with higher expectations, but the stay fell short.

We stayed one night on the way to Yellowstone and had a great visit. The bathrooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and there’s a nice grassy area for dogs. The rooms have been updated since some of the photos were taken. Breakfast was standard hotel fare.
