The gentleman at the front desk was easy to talk to and very helpful with what I needed. For a small hotel, it has nice amenities and did the job for my stay. It’s a long way to the next hotel out in the desert, and I really enjoyed my visit. It’s no Four Seasons, but I’d come back.

They moved me to a room with direct outdoor access as soon as they learned I had a service dog. The staff were wonderful, my room was spotless, and the hotel smelled fresh. They also took care to secure the exterior doors after noticing a flaw. I felt welcomed and comfortable throughout my stay.

Our stay became a frightening ordeal. I was sitting quietly in the lobby talking on my cell phone when the manager or owner started yelling at me to leave, apparently treating my presence there as a disturbance. When my cousin tried to calm things down, it turned physical. He has a broken leg, and the manager tried to kick his cast. I’ve never seen anything so cowardly and violent from someone acting as a professional. They deactivated our key cards right away, leaving us locked out of our room with our belongings inside. They also called the police because I took a phone call in a public part of the hotel. Staff watched while the owner berated paying guests. I’ve never experienced behavior this disgusting. The management seemed volatile and aggressive, with no respect for basic decency or the law. This felt like a dangerous place, not just a bad hotel. Sleep in your car before giving this Microtel a penny. We’re looking into contacting Wyndham corporate. Avoid it at all costs.

I got nearly 11 hours of uninterrupted sleep, the best I’ve had in ages. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and spacious, and the motel is right off the freeway. The new owners were very polite.
