Americas Best Value Inn Red Bluff

There was a fight going on for much of the night, and the place smelled bad. My room had no towels, ice bucket, coffee, or even a clock. The TV didn't work, the beds had no bottom sheets, the blankets were stained, and the pillows had no cases. I also found dirty clothes under a bed that weren't ours. The room was dirty and falling apart, and the first room's key card reader had been broken into. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I'd have rather slept in the car. Don't stay here.

Neil and Annette are what make this place special. Their housekeeping was the best I've seen at any hotel, and they made my stay feel like I was with close friends, even more than family. I love them and will always go back to stay with them. They feel like lifelong friends, and I'm grateful for everything they've done. They make the business an honest, enjoyable place to stay, and I wouldn't recommend anyone but them. They're amazing, and I want them in my life always.

After ten days in a resort kids' suite, our room here suited us better. It was large, with three queen beds, a microwave, and a mini fridge. The shower was separate from the vanity, so anyone showering wouldn't fog the mirror. The room wasn't great, and the hotel could use some attention, but it worked well for a few hours of sleep. We were driving home to Seattle from a two-week Disneyland vacation and were too tired to continue by the time we reached Red Bluff. We booked on Expedia and check-in was easy, even though we woke the hotel keeper. He was gracious and later called to say I could come down for enough towels for the morning. None of us showered then, but the thoughtfulness was nice. We'd seen reviews and photos of bed bugs in room 208, so we were relieved to have room 207. I checked carefully and didn't find any before we went to bed. The place is just off I-5, convenient on the way home and fine for a quick rest. If you need somewhere to crash in Red Bluff, give it a try.

The room was clean and roomy, with a huge bathroom and a comfortable bed. I liked the two pillows per person, one firm and one soft, labeled on the cases. For the price, it's hard to beat. I took off a star because they wouldn't let us keep our bird in the room, even though it's tiny and quiet. They wanted us to leave it in the car all night. It's called pet friendly, and there were giant dogs around, so the policy didn't sit right with me. The staff could have been friendlier, too.
