After I booked a room for that same night, I called within an hour to ask about moving my stay to the next night. They said there were no rooms available and charged me for the original night anyway. I travel often and stay in hotels regularly, so this was a poor experience with customer service and an unfair way to take payment. Management left a bad impression, and I won't book here again.
Breakfast was really good, and the hotel was quiet and clean. The rooms felt cozy and very nice, too. Whenever I came and went, the staff greeted me with a smile and were so kind. I'd recommend it.
The motel itself was okay and in decent condition, but if you're hunting in Redfield with dogs, I'd look elsewhere. Last year, when I stayed here to hunt with our two dogs, they didn't charge for them. This time, I was charged $25 per dog. When I mentioned not being charged the year before, they called me a liar to my face. I would have left, but I'd just driven 21 hours and was exhausted, and the clerk said he'd charge me for only one dog. The next morning, another clerk saw both dogs and said in a very snotty way that she'd have to charge for the extra one. They're not pet friendly as advertised.
The room had a clean, simple look and seemed recently updated. Check-in went smoothly, and the staff member at the desk was welcoming.
The room felt much cleaner after the renovation, and the newer-looking flooring, lights, and furniture made the stay more comfortable.
