The Lodge at Eagle Crest Resort

The location is great, and from outside and in the lobby, Eagle Crest Lodge looks lovely. We stayed three nights, our first visit, but the room felt old and worn. The furniture was uncomfortable, though the bed was satisfactory. There was dog hair around, urine odor in the bathroom, and more hair stuck to the door. Toothpaste splatter on the mirror frame and backsplash made it seem like the sink area hadn’t been wiped down. I cleaned it myself and asked the front desk to arrange a deep clean for the next day while we were out. That’s when I learned we’d been put in a pet-friendly room even though I hadn’t thought to request a non-pet room. The next day our keys stopped working. It took three reprogramming attempts to get back in, which was frustrating because our room was a long walk from the lobby. They gave us a small cafe credit for the trouble. I don’t plan to return to Eagle Crest. We’ve stayed around Bend-Redmond many times and there are plenty of other comfortable options. Eagle Crest needs to do better.

We booked through Hopper and got a great price. The restaurants on the property were good, and our room was clean and looked like the photos. We were on the second floor in a very peaceful spot, so quiet we felt we had to whisper. Check-in at the Lodge at Eagle Creek was smooth, and the staff were professional. Nobody tried to sell us anything, including a timeshare. I don’t know what other reviewers are complaining about. No complaints from us.

The property is nice, but the rooms feel very dated and kind of dirty. There’s no internet connection on the tiny, maybe 20-inch TV, and there aren’t current basics like USB ports beside the bed. I’m pretty sure the room hasn’t been updated in 20 years.

The resort is nice, especially with all the golf courses, and the pools were large and clean. Our room was quiet, with a clean, spacious bathroom and decent, roomy sleeping space. The beds and linens were nice. There’s only one outlet for charging, at the desk and nowhere near the bed. The TV looked about 30 inches, so bring binoculars if you want to watch it.
