The maintenance team handled problems quickly, and Kari in management was especially helpful throughout my stay. I lived here for a year and a half, and it was the best apartment complex I’ve called home so far. The apartments are spacious and feel luxurious, with central AC and nice views. The location is convenient too: downtown Redwood City, bus stops, Safeway, Whole Foods, and the Caltrain station are all a 2-10 minute walk away. There’s also a weekly farmers market right beside the building. I only moved because my job location changed. Otherwise, I would’ve stayed.

Train noise may affect some apartments, given the location. But the management team is the best I’ve encountered, from the manager to the facilities staff. KARI is an angel: she’s helpful, clearly cares about residents, and even lives in the building herself. She also hosts occasional resident events, and who doesn’t like free food? I rarely write reviews, especially positive ones, but had to say it.

The train is the one downside. They’ve done a good job insulating the apartments to reduce the harsher outside noise as much as possible. I’m a current resident and I’m enjoying the stay, the amenities, and the view from my balcony.

Restaurants and the Cinemark in Redwood City are close by. It’s a great property, and I’d recommend it if you want grocery stores and places to eat within easy reach.

The managers are really nice, though I’m not sure what they can do about the noise. I’m on the fourth floor facing the train station, and the living room is simply unbearable. With the bedroom door shut it’s not too bad, but trains stop here constantly, so there’s noise from 5 in the morning until as late as 2 the next day. I didn’t think through how much the difference between floors or a courtyard-facing unit might matter when reading reviews from people who said the noise didn’t bother them. I thought I’d get used to it, but getting this apartment was one of the five worst decisions I’ve made. I’m a current resident, and the train noise is my biggest complaint.
