Umpqua River Inn & Suites

The room felt comfortable and homey, and Krista & Bruce added a really thoughtful personal touch to their professional hosting. We were there for our 25th anniversary, and they’d reserved a Suite with beautiful flowers and a little note wishing us a Happy Anniversary 💖 I’ve stayed in plenty of hotel rooms over the years, but nothing has compared to this. I don’t know who owns the place, but they’ve got a gem in these hosts, and I hope they appreciate them. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Our dogs loved it, and we had a very comfortable bed in a beautiful, clean room. It wasn’t fancy, but it was tasteful, and even the paint trim along the ceiling was done perfectly. I notice those things. The view of the Umpqua River is priceless, though I wish the rooms had a balcony. There’s a huge deck by the office that everyone can use. A few weeks after passing the inviting-looking Inn by the picturesque river, I booked a stay. I rescheduled three times while waiting for good weather and wasn’t disappointed. Crystal, the Inn hostess, was wonderful. I slipped in the mud on my way to the river, my own fault, and she washed my dirty clothes like a best friend. Her husband brought them back clean and folded. It’s off the highway, so we heard a little traffic at night, but otherwise it was quiet. The stars were amazing. There was a bear sighting during the night, so we stayed inside.

The green space out back was my favorite, with plenty of quiet spots to sit and watch the Umpqua River change. Inside, the rooms were cute, clean, and comfortable, with large windows framing a great view. The Inn is cozy and well kept, and the managers were accommodating. It’s just off the highway and around 15 minutes from Reedsport.

There’s a canoe guests can use, plus horse shoes, golf, fishing, a bonfire area, and a patio for BBQs. I’ve stayed here a couple of times and absolutely love it. I’m planning to come back soon. The rooms make me feel so comfortable, and the woman at the desk is awesome, helpful, quick, and just perfect for customer service.
