The Dunes Rehoboth Beach

We keep coming back to The Dunes, and plan to return next year. It sits between busy Rehoboth and busy Dewey, so the setting suits us when we want a quieter stay away from town congestion. The beaches are quieter too, and no more than a 10-minute walk away. Our rooms have always been clean, and the office staff are personable. There are snacks in the lobby, plus ice and filtered water, and the office stays staffed late. Alperen, the night guy, is especially friendly and helpful. It's dog friendly as well. Two thumbs up, give it a try.

We could walk to the beach, bars, and restaurants in about 10 minutes, which made getting around easy. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was cleaned and the bed remade each day. For a motel, it had more than the basics, including an iron, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, wash cloths, and towels. The room smelled fresh and was incredibly clean, with hardwood floors I hadn't expected. We stayed over Labor Day weekend, and I was surprised by how nice the place was. It had only opened that year, so it was brand new, and I'd stay again. I'd recommend it if you need somewhere at the last minute.

The location worked well for us, with restaurants, bars, and the beach all walkable. We also thought it was good value, and the place was very clean. Coffee, tea, fruit, and snacks were available through the day, and it was dog friendly. The owners and receptionist were so kind. They somehow learned it was my birthday and, without anyone prompting them, brought three little bottles of champagne and glasses to our room. Such a lovely surprise from wonderful owners, and it made my day.

The place was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. We had a two-night weekend stay, and our room had been newly renovated and was very clean. Every staff member we met was friendly and accommodating. It's pet friendly, within walking distance of Dewey, and only a short distance from Rehoboth Ave.
