Holiday Inn Express And Suites - Reno Airport

I stayed here for 26 days on a business trip and found the location handy, with lots of places within walking distance: thrift stores, food, small markets, a gun range, and Tahoe. Check-in was easy, and I got room 222 right by the elevator, which meant no long, spooky hallway walks after late work nights. The staff were amazing and always seemed busy helping someone or taking care of something. A shout-out to RAY for checking in and looking after all my Amazon deliveries. Isabell and Aline were wonderful too, always friendly. Thank you, Ray, Isabell, and Aline, for the great care and customer service!

Construction on I-80 and bad directions from GPS threw our trip off, so we decided to stop overnight at Holiday Inn Express, Reno Airport. Ray checked us in and was very helpful, including with a restaurant recommendation and the computer connection. I’m glad we stopped. The room was great and the bed was very nice.

A loud TV in the neighboring room after midnight, the night before an important meeting, was a real problem. Aileen, who was working the overnight front desk, did everything she could and eventually moved me to another room. Thanks to her, I got a few hours of sleep. She’s a rock star, and the staff, especially Aileen, are the reason this gets four stars instead of three. I was here on a business trip this past week, and the airport location worked really well. My early trip home took 35 minutes from leaving the hotel to sitting at my gate: eight minutes to the hotel exit, rental car drop-off, then TSA, and I have PreCheck. Breakfast was pretty good too, with staff committed to customer service. I’d avoid an adjoining room in case you end up with a rude neighbor like I did.

I’ve been a Holiday Inn member for years and usually love every one I’ve stayed at. It’s my go-to hotel when I travel, so this visit was a real disappointment. They charged a deposit, which no other Holiday Inn has done to me, plus a parking fee. Breakfast was poor. We arrived on the later side, something that’s never been an issue elsewhere, but the eggs were watery and soggy, the biscuits were burnt, and there were no cinnamon rolls, my favorite. All the tables were dirty too. The person who checked me in was rude. Staff were also talking so loudly behind a closed door right beside the office that it felt inappropriate.
