Rodeway Inn Logan International Airport

This is about airport parking only. The car was hit on the left side of the door while parked there. I signed the waiver at 3:42 a.m., and with the first shuttle leaving at 4:00, there was no time to read that they weren't responsible for anything that happened to cars on the premises. They said the motion cameras caught nothing, which I think is bullshit. There aren't assigned spaces, so you take whatever spot is available. Mine was just inside the entrance from the main road on the left, where the car felt exposed to anything. The airport shuttle stops running at 11 p.m., but that wasn't mentioned in the post. Check the reviews before booking, and don't park here. Look somewhere else.

Luiza at the front desk was professional and nice, and Ariel and Anthony were great driving us to and from the metro station. We left our rental car there for free and went downtown to do touristy stuff, so it can work as a hotel for more than just airport trips. The neighborhood seemed decent, though there was some noise in the hotel at night. Our room was a decent size and clean, with hot water, a microwave, and a fridge. It was older, but that didn't bother us. Apparently, only king rooms have fridges. We were on the top floor, and getting our bags up was easy without needing an elevator. For the price, it was a decent stay. If it cost $20 or $30 more, I'd rate it lower. Joining Choice Hotels gets you a slightly lower price on the app.

Getting into downtown takes at least 45 minutes by public transit, with at least one transfer, though there are bus stops a few minutes from the hotel. The rooms were basic but clean and adequate. The soundproofing was awful: I heard the next room's TV and everything in the corridor. Noise kept me up the first night, but the second was fine. Bring earplugs. For the airport shuttle, head to the courtesy shuttle station at Terminal A near door 104. Go through door 104, cross the road twice, and follow the airport signs for courtesy shuttles. You have to call to request a pickup, and I’d call as soon as you land because daytime traffic can slow the trip from the hotel. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The shuttle driver, though, nearly hit a pedestrian by not stopping at the crossing, and didn't yield to an ambulance with its sirens and lights on. I'd stay again if the price were right.

I was glad this was only a one-night stay, and I wouldn't recommend it for a good night's sleep. The room was an okay size, but mine faced the road on the first floor, so I heard cars all night. Cold air kept coming in because the wall unit wasn't sealed properly. The bathroom window came out of its sill when I tried opening it, and the main room window was unlocked, which worried me.
