Mahalo Diamond Beach

The rooms were clean, nicely furnished, and well laid out, and the location made getting around easy. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. But both of our rooms were around 60-61 degrees at check-in. We set the thermostats to 70 and went to dinner, only to return to rooms that had dropped to 59. My 82-year-old mother-in-law was especially uncomfortable. I called for help and was told someone would come up; after nearly an hour with no response, I went to the desk and learned, to my surprise, that the rooms had no heat. The young woman there was very kind, apologetic, and quickly brought space heaters for both rooms. They helped, though one tripped a circuit breaker and we had to go back to the lobby for maintenance. It was an inconvenient, disappointing situation for a hotel of this quality, and I hope they address it for future guests.

The beach was beautiful, with soft white sand, and everyone on staff was polite and accommodating. We had a huge suite style corner room on the fifth floor, nearly oceanfront, with plenty of space for our family of four. The beds were comfortable, and the resort was quiet and clean. The pool could use an update, but it was clean and the water was warm. Wildwood Crest is where it’s at. We have high standards and were happy here.

The room layout was fantastic, with two queen beds and a roomy sitting area where the sofa had a pullout bed. Colleen, the manager, and her team were wonderful. We had two rooms over Barefoot country music fest weekend. We’ve stayed at other Icona properties, but this was our first time at Mahalo. We’ve already booked for next year.

Erica and the front desk team are so welcoming and make us feel at home. Housekeeping is quick and efficient, too. We’ve been coming to Mahalo Diamond since 2022, and it’s always clean, convenient, and comfortable. Already looking forward to our next mahalo vacation.
