The pool is a lovely place to unwind, especially the hot tub at night or first thing in the morning. There’s also a wading pool for small kids, and the whole area is kept in great shape. My room was spotless and welcoming, with a handwritten welcome note on the desk that was such a thoughtful touch. I’ve stayed four times, and every meal I’ve tried has been excellent. The restaurant changes its menu every few months, and I still think about the caramel crème brûlée. You can see the care in both the dishes and how they’re presented. From check-in through dinner, the staff were warm and seemed happy to be there. I’d give Hilton Wausau 100 stars if I could. I wish I could find a hotel like this everywhere I travel.

Lui at the front desk patiently answered my questions and went out of his way to help. The room was clean, with no dust, and the facilities were well maintained. I had one unpleasant interaction with a woman at reception whose name I didn’t get, so service loses a star for me. I also wish they served food on Sundays, though that may just be how things are in a small town. Still, I had a very good stay.

The automatic curtains and the beautiful windows made the room feel like a treat, and the pool was a hit with our little water baby, especially the kiddy wading pool. Everything was impressively clean, and the hotel still had that new-building smell. We were in town for one night to visit family. I wish we’d had time to try the restaurant; it looked nice. We’ll definitely be back. The Hilton staff deserve a shoutout for such an impressive place.

After an unsatisfying night at Bant’r, we moved to the Hilton, and the difference was impressive. Our room was roomy and comfortable, with modern updates and especially great windows. The staff were friendly throughout, and the amenities were clean and in well-lit areas. I’d happily stay again after a long day skiing.

I was in town for a 4 Brothers Contracting training and stopped by. The service was great from beginning to end. Ask for Brian if you go, you won’t regret it. Highly recommend.
