Sonesta Simply Suites Minneapolis Richfield

The only useful thing in the room was the long table, if you need to get some work done. The room itself was dirty, the one pillow smelled like urine, and there were baby roaches. The fridge worked, but none of the other appliances did, and there weren’t any pans or similar items anyway. I chose this place because it was Sonesta, but I won’t choose Sonesta again. I was in Minneapolis for a day without my car, and the room was so bad I wished I’d slept in my car in my own city. Disappointed.

A really good suite for business or while you’re in transition. Service and cleanliness were A+. The maintenance could use some updates, but that happens. I enjoyed the stay; I just wish there had been coffee and breakfast.

A decent place for the price, with an easy check-in and a clean room. The linens and pillows were soft and comfortable. It’s very close to the highway, so there’s plenty of traffic noise, but the air conditioner was loud enough to cover it.

The photos online don’t reflect this location, and it was horribly overpriced for what we got. Walking in, we were hit by the smell of weed. Our key didn’t work at first, and the room had dirty towels with no toilet paper or hand soap. The bedding and sheets had unexplained stains, and dust and food crumbs were scattered throughout. There was plastic wrap over the smoke detector in the room, which made me seriously question whether the place meets code. It’s obvious the rooms aren’t being cleaned for new guests. Disgusting.
