I visit someone who stays here two or three times a week. I also think the property could use some cleanup. What really bothered me, though, was seeing someone I was later told was the maintenance person taunt a tenant about being evicted. He blocked her in, got out of his car, and said, “Did you hear the good news? The owner or manager, I assume, was looking for you, and it could be your eviction day.” I didn't hear the name. He seemed far too happy about it. It was rude and upsetting to witness, and I can't believe employees are allowed to behave so unprofessionally.

Mr Atul and his wife are kind and very customer friendly, and management is always helpful. Whenever something is wrong with a room, they act quickly to make sure you're happy with it. The rooms are consistently nice and clean. They've also been making improvements every day while I've been here, which is good for the community. If you need a place for a night, a week, or a month, this could be a good option, with great prices.

I needed a suite for a few months while waiting for closing, and I'm glad I trusted my gut despite the reviews. I'm a single woman and never felt unsafe or uncomfortable. The owners have been doing a lot of work to clean up the property, and the guests too. I look after an elderly gentleman, and after he had a few off days I came up a little short on the monthly rate. It was embarrassing and stressful, but the owner and his wife were understanding and empathetic. They took me from tears to laughing, and I'll honestly miss them when we leave. If you're looking for an extended stay with a homey feel, this is definitely the place.

There's no continental breakfast despite the advertising, the staff were rude and unhelpful, and the area felt very unsafe. Their only offer was to move me again, but the rooms vary so much that staying here feels like a gamble. I chose it expecting Richmond Hill would mean a safe, reliable stay, but I was wrong. It's disgusting and unprofessional, and not worth the money. The first room was a mess, with the mattress propped against a wall and furniture scattered around. They moved me to a second room that was damp, smoky, and had a horrible musty smell. The shower barely worked, the TV wouldn't turn on, and the room's condition was unacceptable. After 3-4 days, I found bed bug bites all over my legs. Staff dismissed me, saying their “detector” found no bugs, and refused to refund the several nights I'd paid for. Losing that much money was a big hit, but I felt the place was unsafe and unbearable, so I had to check out early. Their attitude made it seem like they have a strict no-refund policy regardless of the situation, and probably deal with complaints like mine often. Save yourself the trouble.

The place felt sketchy, with homeless people living in the field beside it. The room was dirty and had roaches, the internet didn't work, and the power bill apparently wasn't paid. The lights went out at 8 in the morning, the office closed and staff left, and power didn't come back until around 4 pm. The manager was rude when I tried talking to him. We left and asked for our deposit back, but he said he owed other people money and was waiting on a check to pay deposits. He took my name and number, and I still haven't heard from him. I don't want anyone else getting scammed by this man. He said that because they privately OWN the place, he can do what he wants. If I could, I'd give this hotel zero stars. Don't waste your money or time.
