Econo Lodge

The breakfast was very limited, and the waffle machine broke twice. The front desk guy was rude. Our rooms were dusty, both bathrooms had clogged drains, and cleaning service was lacking. We had to ask them to clean the rooms.

I found the rooms clean and the bed really comfortable, and the free breakfast had a good range of choices. The place turned out better than I'd expected, and for the price I'd stay again. I took off a star because the room was cold when I arrived and there was a $50 deposit. I checked out today and am still waiting for the deposit to be returned.

The front desk woman was nice and professional, which I appreciated. Still, I probably won't return. My room seemed fine at check-in, until an insect crawled across my toes. I'm not claiming it was a cockroach, but it left me feeling dirty. Also, I wasn't told about the $50 deposit until I was there checking out the room. That fee should be on the website so guests aren't surprised at check-in.

For a decent place to crash at a fair price, this worked well. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and I could smell the cleaning products when I walked into the bathroom. The mini fridge is large, there's a microwave and a good-sized TV, and the AC works. After paying $200 for a “name brand” hotel, I found this place more updated. Those bad reviews seem old and out of date.
