The rooms were clean and quiet, and the free breakfast was decent. I stayed for 2 days. It’s very close to Hermann memorial Hospital, and they offer special rates if you or a loved one is admitted there. The best part was the day and night front desk staff, who were relaxed and helpful. The bathroom door was a little odd, hard to pull and noisy when opening. I’d recommend the place.

The room was tidy and very clean, and the AC worked perfectly. We checked in late with Tony, who was friendly and especially helpful. Roger was kind and helpful when we met him during the day, too. Thanks for a pleasant stay. Based on our experience, I’d recommend this hotel to anyone in the area.

My partner has stayed at the Home2 Suites in Sugar Land regularly for several months, and it’s generally been a reliable place for longer stays. The location is convenient and the staff are friendly. We were confused by a smoking charge after one visit because no one in our household smokes cigarettes, and we would never smoke anything in a hotel room. After the hotel followed up, it became clear that timing and communication gaps had contributed to the misunderstanding. Roger contacted me directly and said he was working on it. He explained that the team members who approve reversals were temporarily out on vacation, which helped explain why things seemed stalled at first. We needed an answer before our credit card statement closed, so we disputed the charge through American Express, and that was successful. The timing was the only reason we took that step. I appreciated Roger’s professional, transparent follow-up and that he seemed invested in resolving the concern. It helped restore my confidence and made this feel like an honest mix-up, rather than a reflection of how the property usually operates. My partner has trusted this well-run hotel for months, and I see this as an isolated misunderstanding.

At check-in, a female employee was in the lobby talking with a friend and not paying attention. I was then charged twice for a night I had already prepaid on the Hilton website. I should only have been charged the incidental security deposit. The next morning I tried to discuss the duplicate charge with front desk “ROGER.” He blamed Hilton reservations and stood there without listening or helping. My guest asked him to de-escalate, but he spoke loudly over me, pointed fingers, and made accusations in the lobby, leaving me feeling like a fool. My guest called him “a little prick.” His condescending, unprofessional manner and refusal to help were humiliating. “ROGER” and the night shift girl at check outs need to remember they work in hospitality and are paid to treat guests accordingly. The front-line staff representing the “Hilton” brand should help guests, not accuse them and talk down to them in public. The review below about “ROGER” is precise. He’s a walking liability to the “Hilton” brand and family. Thank you, Sam Vargas

I rarely leave a bad review. The night before checkout, we arranged with the front desk to stay one extra hour, until 1:00 PM, because of a work event. We also put the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door. A few minutes before 12:00 PM, the lead housekeeper started banging and knocking aggressively, then repeatedly tried to unlock the door and force her way in. My children were so overwhelmed that they opened it, and she effectively pushed them out to the lobby with all their belongings an hour before our confirmed checkout. I asked for the manager, and the gentleman at the front desk said he was the manager. He acknowledged a “miscommunication” but didn’t apologize, take responsibility, or try to put things right. It was stressful and invasive, and entirely avoidable. Guests’ privacy and basic communication shouldn’t be so hard to respect.
