Quality Inn Richmond

We’ve stayed here twice now and expect to make it a regular stop. It’s right off I-75, with plenty of places to eat and shop within walking distance. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the beds were very comfortable. The clerk suggested picking up a coupon book at the Welcome Center, where the best current deal is $89 for Sunday through Thursday stays. It was a delightful visit.

We loved the water and coffee bar, and breakfast was included with our stay. It was fresh, hot, and delicious. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The hotel itself was beautiful and spotless, easy to get to, and the staff were amazing and accommodating. We’d definitely stay again.

Rodney was so helpful when I lost my backpack. It must have fallen off the cart as we were taking our things to the room, and he called to tell me someone had found it, then brought it up himself. He was the friendly guy who checked us in. Our room and bathroom were spotless, the bed was comfortable, and we slept like babies. The breakfast bar was yummy too. We were in a hurry, but Duane, who was running it, let us finish eating and was really nice. My husband and I stayed at Quality Inn the night before, and we’ll definitely choose it again when we travel through Richmond Kentucky. It’s a good place for a comfortable night that won’t break the bank, and I recommend it. There’s a Golden Corral across the street, though I don’t know if it’s open.

I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels, and this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. Check-in was pleasant, and the room seemed clean, though the rate felt a bit high. In the morning the shower wouldn’t work, and the room phone was dead, so I went to the desk. A bearded man with long hair was there with four assistant clerks. I explained the issue politely, but he didn’t respond. One clerk went through the breakfast area, and a maintenance man came out without anyone explaining what was happening. I asked if I should follow him, and a clerk nodded. In the elevator, the maintenance man yelled at me for interrupting his breakfast. At the room, he found the shower faucet loose, then tried the phone and confirmed it wasn’t working. He got angry again, slammed it down, and pulled out a cord to try to reconnect it. I asked why he was so upset, and he started yelling again. I told him to leave the room, and he did, slamming the door. At the desk, I asked for a manager but got the bearded man again. He stayed silent as we stared at each other until a clerk handed me the manager’s business card. I called for three days and left messages, but never got a call back. One star is too generous.
