The night-shift person at check-in was funny and outgoing, but that was the good part. This motel is dated and needs attention. There was only one ice machine and one soda machine, and both were out of service. The room was miserable. The beds felt like plywood, with a super-hard box spring under the mattress. The tub drain backed up during a five-minute shower, and the toilet seat was broken and never fixed. When problems were reported, the response seemed to be a whatever attitude. Good luck. I won’t be back.

The people were nice, but when I first went into the room and used the bathroom, I saw a cockroach crawling along the bathtub lining. There was also a musty, dishwater-like smell in the room. I can only imagine how many more roaches might be hiding there. I’ll never book at Super 8 again.

The room was bright and clean, with none of that usual musty hotel smell. I could park right in front, so I didn’t have to haul my bags around. It’s just off the interstate, with a KFC across the street. A really pleasant stay.

The pull-down shade that darkened the room was the best part for me. It worked better than curtains. The room was basically clean and quiet, and the staff were very nice. Breakfast wasn’t much, just coffee, a muffin, and cold cereal. It’s right off the highway, handy for a quick overnight stop, and I’d stay again.
