Mccoy's Inn

We were given a two-bed suite instead of the one-bed suite we booked, and it was very comfortable. The bathroom was immaculate, and the place felt like a well-cared-for family business. I’d been unsure about booking since I didn’t know the area or West Virginia, but the McCoy Inn was in great shape, and the beds were among the cleanest I’ve seen. We were there for a weekend wedding in WV. If I’m in Ripley again, I’d book at the McCoy.

We slept better than we have in a long time. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and the service was very good. They also handled my special request without any trouble. There’s no pool, which actually suited us since there weren’t kids running around yelling. I’d recommend the place and stay again.

Luke was working the night check-in and made us feel very welcome. He knew the area well and told me about the Mothman Festival, which I later went to and really enjoyed. The linens were crisp, the room was extremely clean, and the accommodations were comfortable. I’d return in a heartbeat.

We thought we’d booked through Hotels.com, but when we arrived there was no reservation in the system. The room we expected wasn’t available, and the only one left sounded like it wouldn’t work for us. Luke explained it, though, and we took it. It turned out to be roomy and fine for us. The following day we moved into the larger suite we’d thought we had booked, and there was plenty of space even with an extra person. Both rooms were clean and spacious. Luke made check-in go smoothly, and Yvonne(?) was wonderful the next day. She brought towels and soaps, got us horseshoes for the outdoor pit and fire starter for the fire pit, and even raked the sand in the pis. The location is convenient, with lots nearby. We had a great time and will come back.
