Sands Motel

The room smelled moldy, though it was reasonable for the price. I slept on top of the covers and was put in the farthest room. The TV was nice, but that was about it. The front desk worker was rude, threw my key card at me, yelled because my child touched something in the lobby, and was unhelpful when I asked about Wi-Fi. I also had to pay a deposit, though I understood that not everyone does. At 10:50, while I was loading the car to leave, staff were already pressing me to check out. It wasn’t worth it, and I won’t stay again. I’d rather sleep in my car. Seems good for a quickie, that’s about it.

The room was really dirty and uncomfortable, and the shower was nasty. Staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. They banged on our door and demanded we open it because we were two minutes past checkout. The guy threw my ID at me, yelled for no reason, and hesitated to return my deposit. He had no shoes and no manners. I don’t recommend this place!

They refused our reservation because I use a walker after a stroke and heart attack. The desk clerk said they had no first-floor rooms available and that I was a liability. He wasn’t even cordial or apologetic. We had to book another hotel, which cost us time and caused a lot of stress.

WARNING: They kept my $100 deposit and won’t return it. I was there only four hours, then left without using the shower or anything, but they still kept the money. Don’t go here. Boycott this place.
