Arlington Inn

I've stayed here before and have no complaints. It's very quiet, the staff are great, and the room has an awesome spa. The walls are well insulated, which works well for night owls who like to pnp. The beds are sturdy, the TV has great channels, and the well-maintained lot has high security, so both you and your car feel safe. It's affordable and I'd recommend it. In fact, I'm coming tonight, so stop by and say hi.

We ended up staying for a month because of housing problems, and I was disappointed by how it went. When I needed to pay for more nights, the woman at the front desk, who I assume is a co-owner, said we had to check out once before returning. My spouse works during the week and we have one car, so that made things harder. We'd already spent almost $4,000, and we would have kept staying. We left for Days Inn nearby, which had a larger mini fridge and beds, plus an ironing board (no iron), hairdryer, phone, and 24-hour security. I used to think of Arlington Inn as a home away from home, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone between housing or on a long business trip, since they may make you cut your stay short. The nightly price for our family of four, two adults and two children under two, had risen to $135.60, including weekends. It used to be $86 on weekdays and $96 on weekends. I don't understand the increase when the amenities hadn't changed, or why our under-two children were charged extra when they weren't additional guests. I hadn't heard anyone else in the lobby paying so much. During our stay I kept the room tidy, put out trash and got fresh towels each day. I even bought a broom and dustpan to keep toddler mess down and make housekeeping easier. The housekeeper was sweet and helpful, and the only one cleaning all the rooms almost every day.

I sleep really well whenever I stay here, and the beds are comfortable. Staff respond quickly when you need something. The location is decent, apart from the corner bar and its loud, drunk customers.

It's a good spot if you need a cheap, clean room. I left a few dollars for the housekeeper, but the owner went into the room after I checked out and took the tip. If you want to leave the maid a dollar, put it directly in her hand or she won't get it.
