Riverton Inn & Suites

There wasn’t enough parking, so we had to leave the car next door and walk. The room was dirty and very dated, and the bathroom fan was extremely loud without doing anything useful. Breakfast was listed on the website, but there wasn’t any. The room was warm, so we needed the cooler, but it was loud enough to keep us from sleeping well.

I was a bit worried after reading one of the reviews, but I was really happy to find the hotel in such good condition. The rooms were clean and pleasant, the furniture was nice, and it looked like things had been renovated fairly recently. We slept great. There’s a fridge, microwave, TV with lots of channels including HBO, and a hair dryer. It was totally worth the price and more!

At $50 a night, it’s a pretty decent quick stop if you need somewhere cheap for the night. You’ve got what you need, though it’s all old. The furniture almost looked antique but did its job. The furnace was pretty loud and the mattress wasn’t great, but that’s what you’d expect.

There are other places around, and I’d try one of them. This economy hotel was still dirty, with old dirt everywhere. The chair upholstery had deep grease stains, there was something sticky spilled in the fridge, and the microwave was crusty. The walls had gouges and what looked like old food stuck to them. The mattresses sagged, the grayish sheets had holes, and the TV didn’t work. With no soundproofing, we heard snoring and footsteps overhead all night. I’m pretty sure they only cleaned the towels and, hopefully, the sheets. Yuck.
